Italy’s richest men

7 aprile 2008

According to the 2008 Forbes classification, Michele Ferrero, the chocolate manufacturer who invented Nutella, is Italy’s richest man. He is followed by Leonardo Del Vecchio, owner of the Luxottica sunglasses empire, while TV magnate Silvio Berlusconi has now dropped from first to third place. All three, however, appear low in the list of the world’s hundred wealthiest people. Ferrero, in fact, is in 68 th place and Del Vecchio comes in as number 78. This year, Berlusconi features at 90th, compared with his previous position at number 51.
